Anand Subbiah

Anand Subbiah provides advisory services to the energy sector and has wide-ranging expertise in transactions and financial advisory; project finance, financial modeling, risk management, carbon finance, planning and policy, utility restructuring, tariff design, energy efficiency, and technology and energy market assessment.

Mr. Subbiah worked with Tata Energy Research Institute, Navigant Consulting, Bechtel and Nexant before starting McLean Development Group which provides advisory services to the energy industry. Mr. Subbiah is also a Principal in Synergy Consulting Infrastructure Financial Advisory, a market-leading transactions and financial advisory firm for development of infrastructure in the energy, water, transport, and social sectors. Mr. Subbiah also advises multilateral banks and donor agencies such as the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, Asian Development Bank, and the United States Agency for International Development. Mr. Subbiah has 35 years of experience and has worked in over 50 countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and North and South America.

Mr. Subbiah has degrees in electrical engineering from Bangalore University, India, an MBA in finance from the University of Vienna & Vienna Institute of Technology, Austria, and was a researcher at the Center for Energy and Environmental Studies at Princeton University, USA.
